“If I could, I’d take out billboards, blimps, and skywriting planes to express how professional, personable, and INCREIBLY reliable Stat10 is! Our 6/29 wedding wouldn’t have been as memorable if it weren’t for the dedication, hard work, and constant communication from Ravi and his team. About four years ago, my husband and I attended a 60th birthday party that was definitely the most lit 60th birthday party I've ever seen. Those seniors were thoroughly enjoying Andre’s mixes and we were out of chairs and dancing the whole night! So naturally, when we started planning our wedding, my husband suggested we get that AMAZING DJ that was at the 60th party (he’s a ballroom dance instructor so impressing him with a music set isn’t an easy feat). It took a few days of digging, but we found Andre's IG page, and I contacted him immediately. AND I'm SO GLAD I DID! Ravi, reached out to me shortly after Andre (who kept everyone dancing ALL night) gave him my information, and we met several times to ensure our big day would be PERFECT. Now, the Virgo in me was ready to micromanage everything, but Ravi knows his stuff and was able to provide me with suggestions, and was my one-stop shopping for the photobooth (the attendant was hilarious!), a candid photographer (who took AMAZING photos), and coming through last minute (the morning of the wedding) with a flower wall that I originally canceled with Stat10 the day before because another company (exterememely unreliable) tried to deliver the wall and just left when I didn’t answer my phone (I was in the bridal suite getting my hair and makeup done and the driver didn’t bother trying to contact someone inside the venue). Do you know they had packed it anyway, just in case, and BOOM! I had my flower wall, which looked gorgeous in the photobooth pictures. I had a wedding planner, but I felt like Ravi and Jordan were a needed extension of my wedding team. They took care of things that went beyond DJing and MCing, like ensuring I was being taken care of by the staff at the venue and that I was well hydrated before walking out into the 92 degree heat before saying my “I do,” (thanks Ravi!). Overall, I can’t express my gratitude to everyone at Stat10 Productions. It’s been about a month since our wedding, and I look back at the pictures taken by the candid photographer every day. I just can’t believe how well everything turned out because I have super high expectations and they exceeded them. I wish we were able to stay and give a video account of how wonderful our wedding turned out, but we have a 1-year-old, and it was approaching midnight so we had to run, but if you’re in the market, don’t hesitate to book this company if you want reliable service. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to book them again for my mother’s surprise 70th birthday party next year!”

The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Show-stopping music is performed with a variety of instruments such as horns, percussion, saxophones, flute, and piano. They are based in Staten Island but are willing to travel to destination weddings.

“If you’re considering a live band for your wedding reception, look no further than Cause and the Effects. We hired the full 10-piece band to play at our wedding reception on 9/23/23, and that was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made. From our initial calls all the way through the actual event, the band set themselves apart and proved to be far more than a standard event vendor. They were completely invested in giving us the best experience possible. Vin and Anthony took the time to get to know us, our interests, and how we wanted the event to flow, and used all of that information to put together an amazing set. Our reception had a few unique twists, and the band took each of our requests in stride with enthusiasm and professionalism. Leading up to our reception, Vin communicated with some of our other vendors to make sure any intersecting elements (for example, audio/video and lighting) went smoothly. And day-of, the full band’s talent and energy blew us away. Once the party started, it did not stop for a single second. We, the majority of our guests–and eventually, some of the band members & instruments themselves!--were going wild on the dance floor the entire night. Even the non-dancers in the crowd were sitting and enjoying the music with huge smiles on their faces. Throughout the event, many people pulled us aside so they could tell us how much they were loving the music…and in speaking to guests afterward, the first thing every single person mentioned was how incredible the band was. And talk about a personal playlist–not only did they create a completely unique rendition of our first dance song (Starlight by Muse) to match our dance choreography, but they also delivered a huge surprise. In our consultations, we’d mentioned how important the band Linkin Park is to us…so Cause and the Effects learned “In the End” just for us, and delivered a phenomenal performance as one of the closing songs of the night. It was so meaningful, and it’s something we’ll never forget. Please don’t hesitate to make Cause and the Effects one of the first vendors you book for your event. "Five stars" is not a high enough rating!”

“Marcus did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse! Prior to the wedding, we completed a worksheet on the timeline and our song preferences, and then had a planning meeting with him where we went over all the details and he gave us advice on flow and timeline based on his extensive experience DJ-ing weddings. Through all our interactions, we could tell how detail-oriented and experienced he was. The Prospect Park Boathouse can be a tricky venue with its short load-in time and long, narrow layout, but Marcus knew it well and planned accordingly. We also had a Vietnamese/Chinese wedding; in addition to a DJ, we also had a pianist with a singer, and a bilingual emcee. This added some complexity in terms of timeline and switching between the singer and the DJ, but Marcus coordinated well with everyone, kept track of the timeline, and handled all transitions between live music and DJ sets seamlessly. He also showed up a little early to make sure all equipment was set up well and did a mic check during the cocktail hour. During the dance portion of the night, the dance floor was packed all night and people did not want to leave! He played all the songs we wanted (along with additional ones he selected) and all the transitions and mixes were fantastic and kept the energy/vibe high. Many guests commented on how great our DJ was! Even though we had a different emcee, we know that Marcus would have done a fantastic job as an emcee as well - he is warm, friendly, gracious, and charismatic. He is not only a great DJ but also a fantastic human being!”

We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had! There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. There was even a place to provide their comments or special memories for particular songs, so that Jay could share. The photo booth was a huge hit too! What was most important to me was that everyone loved the music and Jay and commented during and after the wedding with how great he was and the music. There were a few minor hiccups during the ceremony and reception (that were not caused by him), but he was able to be quick on his feet and keep the wedding flowing. The photo booth package he has available is a MUST! Guests were raving about the printouts and the quality of the photos! Attached is an example of what the printouts look like. I have to follow them on Instagram.” “Pretty sure that was the best band I’ve seen in 20 years of weddings.” We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse, and by 20 minutes into the first set the band had amassed a crowd of passers-by who stopped to watch and listen from a nearby bridge and stayed all evening long.
