Historically, we’ve found wedding DJs to be subpar. Between the poor choice in songs and the lack of beat matching ability, we‘ve always had critiques about the DJs when we attend weddings. From the initial consultation to the wedding day itself, DJ Neema was dedication to making the musical experience authentic and meaningful. Initially, we interviewed two DJs and DJ Neema stood out with his impeccable mix that seamlessly blended our eclectic music tastes, from Houston rap to Bollywood hits. On the wedding day, he worked his magic, keeping the dance floor alive the entire time — keep in mind that this was a daytime and a completely dry wedding! His ability to read the crowd and curate the perfect vibe for the event was truly impressive. When it started sprinkling, neither our guests nor DJ Neema wanted to stop so with the help from some friends, they constructed a cover for DJ Neema’s set up with a table cloth and dry cleaning plastic and kept the party going (see pic)! “I hired Strings for Celebrations to perform prelude and ceremony music for my wedding in June of 2024. I had a special request: as a composer, I wrote the ceremony music myself. SFC not only let us choose from a huge list of awesome songs for them to play before the ceremony, but they played all of my own works with gusto, excellent musicianship, and poise. I couldn't have asked for better. They truly contributed to making my special day absolutely perfect. Natalie was great at corresponding during the months that led up to our wedding, and she was more than fair with her pricing. Would recommend SFC for any special occasion.”

As a 28 year old bride and 33 year old groom we wanted a fun, high-energy reception to keep our diverse 100 person guestlist dancing all night. We had many guests/family from the, Rio Grande Valley and Venezuela, along with many friends from all over the US and from all cultures. He smoothly integrated must-play songs and requests in both English and Spanish to keep everyone happy and dancing, just as we'd hoped. Ivan was kind, approachable, and professional in all of our communications leading up to the big day. He provided a very detailed questionnaire to make sure he fully understood the vibe we were going for. Ivan's experience and knowledge of weddings really showed in his song choices and MC skills. We chose to add on an audio guestbook and dancing on the clouds also through DJ Ivan that really enhanced the party.
